I’m Sorry Poem

I’m Sorry

Author: Gabor Timis Copyright 2012

I’m sorry, really sorry to see you cry,
Please let me dab your eyes to dry.
I made a bad mistake, I know that now
I want to apologize, if you would allow.

My darling, forgive me, I beg of you
I am a weak human, but I can be better
All I care about in this life is you
Please let me show you I still care, my dear.

I will never hurt you again, that is sure
My love for you is strong and pure
I know you care for me too
So, forgive this errant soul …
And make me, once again, whole.

This poem is an apology to one’s love, a request for forgiveness. This is an example of saying I’m sorry from the heart, meaningfully and and regretfully. We all make mistakes, but if we can recognize them and accept that we are human and that we can be better, then life will be better and love stronger. Words without actions do not mean much, similarly, just saying I am sorry without meaning it, is just not going to achieve anything.
